Message	what did that have to do with anything? Maybe he doesnt really care weather the attention is negative or positive. And unless you're socially retarded, you generaly have a decent idea of whether said attentin is positive or negative (a big clue being phrases like, "Nice car!" or, "sweet ride!" usually = positive, whereas odd faces / phrases like, "eeew!" usually = negative opinions.
